Andrew Nicholettos

Andy's career in healthcare began with a first class degree in Sport and Exercise Science. It was here that Andy developed an interest in strength and conditioning practice, and the relationship between exercise, health and disease.
Following this, Andy completed a Master’s degree in Osteopathy at University College Osteopathy, and was awarded the school’s prestigious Silver Medal Award, and the RK Hardy Prize for obtaining the highest academic and clinical marks in his year group, and for research excellence respectively.

Bio

Whilst studying at UCO, Andy spent two years working with the musculoskeletal physiotherapy team at Kings College London, where he developed a more in depth understanding of physical rehabilitation.

Andy amalgamated his broad interest in sport, musculoskeletal and exercise medicine with a second Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine at University College London, where he was mentored by internationally recognised clinicians spanning pain and orthopaedic medicine. At this point, Andy completed additional training in America with the prestigious Gray institute, and is one of a select number of therapists in the world who is certified in, and is a Fellow of Applied Functional Science.

Since he qualified, Andy has worked in both NHS and private settings. He was one of the first osteopaths in the country to work in an extended scope role, where he continued to develop his interest in ‘non resolving’ conditions of the spine, shoulder and knee. In this role Andy blended traditional osteopathic hands on skills with personalised exercised based prescription and mindfulness based methods.
